Supply Lists

The school supplies list for Ritchie Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year includes the following items organized by grade level:

If families need assistance with providing supplies, they are encouraged to contact the office staff for support. Additionally, tissues are always a welcome donation to the classrooms.

Required for ALL GRADES: Inexpensive corded headphones for Chromebooks labeled with student’s name.

PRINT SUPPLIES LISTS

Kindergarten

12 #2 pencils, sharpened
2 yellow highlighters
4 boxes of crayons (24 count each, normal size)
12 large glue sticks
1 package of baby wipes
12 black dry erase markers (fine-point, thin)
Scissors with rounded tips (FISKARS are easiest for KG)
Pencil box (hard plastic for crayons, pencils, scissors)
Paint smock (an old adult t-shirt works well)
Bath-sized towel for rest time (no sleeping bags)
Backpack (regular sized, without wheels)
Extra clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks, in a zippered plastic bag: please label bag with student's name)

Please ONLY LABEL the Pencil Box, Paint Smock, Towel, Backpack & Extra Clothes with Student’s name.

First Grade

4 boxes of crayons (24 count each)
2 boxes of #2 pencils (sharpened, total 48)
1 box of 8 washable large markers
6 large glue sticks
2 boxes of fine tip black dry erase markers (12 count each)
1 composition notebook
1 pencil box (big enough for pencils, scissors, glue, etc.)
1 pair of scissors (may use scissors from last year)
Paint smock (old adult t-shirt works best, labeled with name)
1 container of disinfecting wipes (Clorox or Lysol)
1 box of tissues
1 jar of Play-Doh
1 box of quart-sized bags (no sliders please)
1 package of baby wipes

Please ONLY label the Paint Smock.

Second Grade

24 #2 pencils (sharpened)
2 boxes of crayons (24 count each)
4 large glue sticks
8 black dry erase markers (bullet tip)
1 pair of scissors (you may use last year’s)
1 pack of 10 pencil-top erasers
1 3-hole zippered pencil pouch (no boxes please)
2 composition notebooks (100 pages, marble cover)
1 container of disinfecting wipes
1 box of tissues
1 box of quart-sized freezer bags (no sliders please)

Third Grade

1 pair of scissors (7” student scissors)
1 zippered fabric pencil pouch
3 composition notebooks (wide ruled, 100 pages each)
1 hard cover 1/2” 3-ring binder
1 box of crayons (24 count)
24 #2 pencils (sharpened, not mechanical)
1 box of washable markers (10 count, thin and/or thick)
6 large glue sticks
4 thin black dry erase markers

Donations welcome: glue sticks, dry erase markers, tissues, disinfecting wipes, plastic bags.

Fourth Grade

12 #2 pencils (sharpened)
1 box of colored pencils (12 or 24 count)
1 box of crayons (24 count)
4 large glue sticks
1 highlighter
1 zippered fabric pencil pouch (no pencil boxes)
1 wide-ruled composition notebook (100 pages)
1” hard cover binder with pockets (prefer clear view)
1 pair of scissors (label with name using a permanent marker)
1 hand-held sharpener (no battery)
2 black thin permanent markers
4 thin black dry erase markers

Donations welcome: tissues, paper towels, pink erasers, pencil-top erasers.

Fifth Grade

12 #2 pencils (per quarter)
1 box of markers (10 count, basic colors)
1 box of colored pencils (12 count)
1 box of crayons (24 count)
8 black dry erase markers (bullet tip, per semester)
1 pair of scissors
6 large glue sticks (per quarter)
2 highlighters
1 pocket folder for homework
1 fabric pencil pouch (no pencil boxes)
2 hard-covered 1-inch 3-ring binders with clear plastic pocket on front cover
1 handheld pencil sharpener (no battery)
2 packs of 3 x 5 white index cards (100 count packs)
